Serpentine and Districts Golf Club is a
Sand Greens course. The fairways are reticulated and are a mixture of
Kikuyu and wild Couch. The course is watered from two dams, which allows play
all year round. The two dams, one on hole no 9 and the other on hole no 12 are
the only permanent water on the course, the other water hazards only contain
water during winter.
The front nine on the southern side of
Karnup Road, designed by Chas Newman, was first used in competition in
1970. The back nine on the northern side of Karnup road, designed by
former club President Merv Gossage, was officially opened on May 23rd
1976.
