Out of Bounds (Rule 27-1)
1.1
Beyond any fence bounding
the golf course.
1.2
The entire 8th fairway (including the green and grass mounds)
whilst playing the 7th hole.
1.3
The 17th fairway (including the green) up to the red discs
whilst playing the 16th hole.
1.4
The 15th fairway (including the green) up to the red discs
whilst playing the 18th hole.
1.5
The dam on the right hand side of the 9th fairway as defined
by white posts with black tops. Note: The
stakes are Immovable Obstructions.
2.
Ground Under Repair (Rule 25)
2.1
Those areas marked
with white stakes and/or white lines or designated with appropriate GUR signs
are to be treated as ground under repair and relief may be taken in accordance with the
procedure in Rule 25-1. Note: The stakes are Immovable
Obstructions.
2.2
Tractor tyre marks (except
those in a hazard) are to be treated as GUR. Relief may be taken in accordance with the
procedure in Rule 25-1.
3.
Staked Trees or Shrubs
If a staked tree, staked
shrub interferes with a player’s stance or area of his intended swing, the ball
must be lifted without penalty and
dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in Rule 24-2b (Immovable
Obstruction). The ball may be
cleaned when so lifted. Note: The stakes are Immovable
Obstructions.
4.
Water Hazards (Rule 26)
4.1
Water Hazards are defined by yellow stakes. Relief procedure Rule
26-1a,b.
4.2
Lateral Water Hazards are defined by red stakes. Relief procedure Rule
26-1a,b,c. The Lateral Water Hazard
on the right hand side of the 1st fairway is defined by both red
stakes and red fence posts.
As an additional option on the 5th, 16th
and 18th holes a player may
drop a ball in the dropping zone nearest to where the original ball
lay.
Note: 1. The dropping
zone may be nearer to the hole than where the original ball
lay.
2. If a ball is dropped in a Dropping Zone, the ball must not be
re-dropped if it comes to rest within two club lengths of the spot where it
first struck a part of the course even though it may come to rest nearer the
hole or outside the boundaries of the Dropping Zone.
Note: The stakes are Immovable
Obstructions.
5.
Preferred Lies
All fairways are defined by
the closely mown edge or green line.
A ball lying on the fairway
being played may, without penalty, be moved or
may be lifted, cleaned and placed within ONE CARD LENGTH of where it originally
lay but not nearer the hole and not in a hazard or on a putting green. A player may move or place his ball once
and after the ball has been so moved or placed, it is in
play.
6.
Kangaroo Paws
If a kangaroo paw interferes
with a player’s stance or area of his intended swing, the ball must be lifted without penalty and
dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in Rule 24-2b (Immovable
Obstruction). The ball may be
cleaned when so lifted.
7.
Immovable Obstructions – Clubhouse / Carpark
If a ball comes to rest in
the carpark or clubhouse beyond -
a)
The white line and copper logs on the right hand side of the
9th green.
b)
The copper logs and inner edge of the paved area in front of the
clubhouse.
The player may take relief, without penalty,
under Rule 24-1b or as an additional option drop a ball in the dropping zone nearest to where the original ball
lay.
Note:
1.
The dropping zone may be nearer to the hole than where the original ball
lay.
2.
If a ball is dropped in a Dropping Zone, the ball must not be re-dropped
if it comes to rest within two club lengths of the spot where it first struck a
part of the course even though it may come to rest nearer the hole or outside
the boundaries of the Dropping Zone.
8.
Temporary Local Rules
In addition to the above
permanent local rules, temporary local rules may be in effect at any time. They
will be displayed on a notice board as and when they are deemed appropriate by
the Match Committee. Examples of temporary rules may be such things as
fire-breaks, fairway renovations, and embedded balls in other than closely-mown
areas during winter. Please check the notice board for temporary local
rules.

Match Play – loss of
hole
The Yellow, Blue and Red posts on the edge of the fairways indicate that the distance from that post to the centre of the green is 200 metres (Yellow), 150 metres (Blue) and 100 metres (Red).
